Description: Hooley is a lovely 15.3hh gelding who last raced in September 2023 and is now looking for his next chapter. He’s a genuine, kind-natured boy who has taken everything in his stride since retiring from racing and is ready to begin a new life outside the track. Hooley is a typical ex-racer – responsive, willing, and enjoys attention. He’s been quietly enjoying his downtime, hacking out and getting used to life beyond racing. While he is still green in areas, he’s shown a willing attitude and would suit a confident and sympathetic rider looking to put their own stamp on a horse. He has not yet done much formal schooling or jumping, but shows the potential to go on with the right person. Hooley would thrive in a home where someone has the time to bring him on slowly and steadily. He’s good to handle on the ground, and has been fine to load, shoe, and catch. He enjoys being turned out and is happy in a herd with both mares and geldings. No known vices, although like many ex-racers, he may show the occasional quirk – nothing unmanageable with a bit of patience and understanding.
