Description: Winny the dream family lead rein all rounder & happy hacker who is safe and reliable! Please DO NOT read any further if you are not a true experienced horsey family home and want Winny to go round in circles with side reins on as first ridden or as a project, thank you kindly. Winny, 14yr old Mare, 12hh, reg Welsh section A with the kindest most gentle and genuine outlook to life. Smart little mare well built type plenty of bone. We have enjoyed her company last few years reason for sale is I need on and off lead rein first ridden and can’t keep collecting ponies. Winny is happiest mooching along with her chosen rider on and off the lead rein out hacking rain or shine. We have taken her to a handful of shows over the summer with my baby boy in his basket saddle and come home with ribbons each outing. She is very happy off the lead rein out hacking and will go in a group without a hoof out of place. Will walk trot and do small canter when asked on a hack and not phased by any antics or other horses galloping about. Winny will go in the arena on a lead rein, walk & trot some accidental canter if leader can run quick enough. She will go over poles very small jumps, play games and put up with all the noise, singing, dancing and carnage the kids can throw at her. She will go off the lead rein in school with a competent child but does NOT enjoy, nothing nasty, just doesn’t like it and gets fed up. Totally bombproof to general traffic, farm machinery, dogs, prams, little loud ferals on bikes, quads! Loads and travels, likes to live out extremely good at getting fat, controlled grazing required. Happy well mannered in stable if needed. No health conditions, vices, update with everything possible. Winny likes to be handled by calm knowledgeable adults. Does need adult to hold for farrier, gets little unsure. Has been shod for summer riding, currently barefoot. She comes with small wardrobe of quality tack and few rugs. I am coach, PC, BHS, will be asking for professional references. I will offer a generous trial period as her home is important to us, she will not leave before you try her.
