- 16 hand and half an inch, 5 year old gelding. He is unraced but has been in point to point training.
I had Pip shipped from Ireland with another horse and sadly it hasn't worked out with his friend, and I don't want Pip to be on his own as he is a sociable boy. I have looked at other horses to move alongside him, but haven't found any yet and I don't want to be rushed into anything therefore I am looking for a loan home for him - this could be on a six, or 12 month basis or LWVTB if it works out that way.
Pip would be coming from the field and has been out of work for three weeks since he arrived.
He would make a lovely horse for showing, both in hand and ridden. He’s quite a chunky build for a TB and has clean legs with no bumps or scars.
Due to him not being fully ROR the option is also there for him to do some lightweight hunter classes or alternatively he could be a lovely riding club horse or could turn his hoof to dressage as he is a lovely mover and is quite clever.
Pip would be best suited to a riding club / showing / show jumping home as he is more whoa than go and he will prefer arena work more so than a hunting / team chasing home.
Pip is very good to load and travel. He will travel in a horse box or a lorry. He has brilliant ground manners and he is a nice ride. He is quiet to clip, shoe and have his teeth done. He is very laid back and has no vices. He will live in or out, and has lived out 24/7 since he arrived.
He is a very good doer and is now putting on weight since he arrived with me. He will hack alone or in company but would need a confident rider if hacking on his own as he can get a bit lonely.
I would like him to stay close to me if possible (SW Scotland) but for the right home, could be further afield.
