- Umberto DrB, aka Bertie, is a rare find. He has the best of Luso breeding being a yearling colt by Fogoso, the top scoring Luso at the Olympics, ridden by his breeder Rodrigo Torres. Zimbro is the dam sire, another successful dressage Luso. Fogoso and his dam, Gaiteira, were both bred by the famous TVF stud.
I imported Gaiterira aka Buffy, as a brood mare from Portugal 5 years ago and she has produced 4 stunning off spring. Berties' three older siblings can be seen and remain with myself.
He is a stunning example of the breed. He has the classic Luso profile, exceptional conformation and is expected to make around 16'3, 170cm. He is sturdy and well grown. He has a very balanced canter, sits with ease, can turn on a dime. He has a lot of presence for such a young colt.
He will be a future star be that in showing/dressage/working equitation.
Home bred in Scotland, he has been regularly handled and is very personable. He is good with baths, clipping, farrier etc. He is turned out in a small herd in excellent grazing conditions.
He is ready for his new home or can be kept at my farm until a 3 year old if required.
