Then Matilda could be the pony for you! 13hh | 9-year-old mare Based in West Yorkshire Matilda really is the ultimate child’s first pony and is now looking for a very special new home after looking after my girls for the last 5 years. She’s a beautiful little mare who has been incredibly well looked after and certainly hasn’t been hammered. She may not be the flashiest pony in the world, but what she lacks in flashiness, she more than makes up for with a temperament to die for. Matilda is exceptionally kind, gentle and genuine, both on the ground and ridden. She hasn’t got a nasty bone in her body and absolutely adores children. She really is a child’s best friend. Children can literally do everything with her — groom, tack up, pick out her feet, catch her and even clip her themselves. She loves being pampered and is the sort of pony children can enjoy without Mum or Dad having to do everything for them! She has done a bit of everything, including showing, hacking, riding alongside bigger horses, pub rides and bareback riding. She is safe and sensible in open spaces and isn’t the type to get strong or silly. She has good brakes, isn’t a forward-going pony and will happily look after a smaller or less confident child. Matilda is 100% to box, shoe, dentist and in traffic. She has given my girls years of wonderful memories, and this is an incredibly difficult sale. They have simply outgrown her, and she deserves another little person to love and look after. A knowledgeable, loving home is incredibly important. She will come with her tack and s few rugs.
