- Description
- A genuine, experienced all-rounder who has spent the last eight and a half years in the same loving home.
Justin is a kind, affectionate Thoroughbred with a wonderful temperament and a huge personality. He isn’t a push-button riding school plod—he’s an intelligent horse who enjoys building a genuine partnership with his rider. In return, he gives you his heart.
He has enjoyed a varied life including hacking, schooling, dressage, show jumping, cross-country, fun rides and pleasure rides. He previously worked in a riding school before becoming a much-loved family horse, and has many miles of real-world experience.
Justin hacks confidently in company, happily leading or following, and is well accustomed to busy roads, tractors, lorries, bridges, open countryside and varied terrain. He has completed evening and night rides and has led other horses from horseback.
Justin is happy to hack alone with a confident, positive rider. During my ownership, I have generally chosen to hack in company due to my own medical conditions rather than any limitation of his. As a genuine Thoroughbred, he is intelligent and sensitive to his rider and environment, so he appreciates a calm, confident partnership. He is not a horse that bucks, rears or bolts. He may occasionally nap with an uncertain rider, but with confident, consistent handling he works through it and becomes a very genuine partner. He isn't a horse that needs managing; he's a horse that appreciates being understood. He has lovely manners both on the ground and under saddle.
He is beautifully comfortable to ride, responsive without being sharp, and loves having a job to do. Whether exploring new routes, paddling through streams, schooling on the flat or enjoying a good canter across open ground, he is an enjoyable, genuine horse who thrives on confidence and trust.
On the ground he is deeply affectionate, people-orientated and loves attention. He forms strong bonds with his owners and is the sort of horse who enjoys being part of the family as much as being ridden.
Good to catch, load, travel, clip, shoe and handle. No stable vices. Lives in or out and adapts well to a varied routine.
He has recently had his routine dental treatment, vaccinations and farrier visit, and is freshly shod and ready to go. A quality selection of tack, rugs and equipment is available, making him ready to enjoy immediately.
This is an incredibly difficult sale after eight and a half wonderful years together. His home is far more important than achieving a quick sale, so serious enquiries from experienced, loving homes only.
