Sully has three comfortable, steady paces on the flat, and will happily ride off your leg or your voice. He’s sane, sensible and straightforward to work with, with a soft snaffle mouth that makes him a pleasure for both novice and more experienced riders. Out hacking, Sully is absolutely spot on—he will go alone or in company, and is rock steady in open spaces and on the stubble fields. On the roads, he’s been exposed to the heaviest of farm traffic and the biggest of lorries, never putting a foot wrong. He’s started popping coloured fillers with us and shows himself to be both brave and careful, with scope to continue producing in this direction. With his calm nature and kind outlook, he’s the type who will turn his hoof to a bit of everything and always give you a safe and enjoyable ride.
