Vienna came over from Ireland in October last year, having been backed and then turned away to process and mature.
She came back into work with us amazingly and it was clear she had been started in Ireland very well.
We spent most of the winter doing lots of hacking (alone and in company) for her to see more of the world and build up strength due to her still being young. She’s been produced carefully and correctly, with her future in mind, never rushed or over faced.
Over the spring and summer we started doing a bit more schooling with her and getting her out to venues.
Vienna has had a very well rounded education so far including; a beach riding holiday, out to lots of clinics- pole work, dressage, showjumping, grids, XC training and some shows.
She is snaffle mouthed at all times and has been extremely level headed with everything I’ve asked of her.
On the ground and day to day, Vienna is a pleasure to have around. She’s easy and uncomplicated! Regularly handled by smaller children, novices and grandma.
She turns out well with any of the other horses on the yard, geldings/mares or on her own.
Good to catch and a lovely friendly, easy going type.
She’s been completely unbothered if she’s had to stay in for several days during winter or not ridden for a week and then taken out.
Flatwork- Vienna has lovely natural paces and is working extremely well for her age and the stage she’s at in her education. She’s been out to dressage shows, scoring really well, with great comments from the judges.
Jumping- Although Vienna only started jumping recently, she’s showing huge talent, scope and ability. She’s been unphased by fillers, water trays, ditches, banks, hedges, water etc. Jumping is clearly something she really enjoys and she shows huge promise for the future!
She’s careful, clever and has natural talent and ability.
Hacking- Vienna has done lots of this, both alone and in company, she’s ridden through big traffic in our town centre, as well as the country lanes with pushchairs, bikes, tractors, buses etc
We’ve also hacked through fields. She’s happy to canter, front, middle or at the back without becoming strong or silly or will walk if asked.
Vienna is not only a wonderful person but she’s also very talented and versatile, therefore she’d be best suited to a competent teen/adult who wants to go out and have lots of fun. Riding club, pony club, allrounder home.
Due to her age and where she should be aimed she will not be sold to a novice/nervous home.
She has the talent and temperament to go so far and deserves to be in a capable home who wishes to do so.
She’s currently barefoot with good feet and is well behaved for the farrier.
She was clipped in the winter, is up to date with vaccinations, teeth, worming etc
Loads and travels well, been on trailer, lorry and 3.5t
Genuine reason for sale and I’d very much like to keep in touch.
