Description: Lysander is bred by a Welsh Pony Stallion x KWPN (Briljant, Uphill x Jazz) A beautiful model with quality paces and ridability. Lysander is a homebred horse who is an attractive, smaller, modern gelding with correct paces good natural balance and an easy way of going. His owner has set him up fantastically with a super grounding in the dressage foundations and therefore he s well established on the flat. He has competed well to novice with scores consistantly above 70%. He is ready to go out at elementary and is working on medium movements at home. He could go on much further with good future training. He hasn't been rushed or spoilt and is a well rounded gelding with an exciting future. Over the past month Lysander has been introduced to a little jumping (SJ and XC), he has done pole work and hacking growing up but is limited on his jumping experience. He shows a natural technique and a willlingness to learn. With time to develop this further he could be a great grassroots contender for eventing/ riding club activities. He enjoys an open field canter without getting hot with others and really enjoys his hacking. He is still very green in this area so needs a competent person to further educate him. Lysander is a lovely character to have around, he is quiet and easy to have in the stables but does enjoy human interaction and pampering! He lives out at present with others and like most horses really enjoys field time with friends. He is a lovely ride and could suit a range of homes - someone looking for a quality all-round type, competitive rider or an experienced and capable mother/ teenage daughter share. We are looking for someone competent and experienced to be his next home. He is a quality horse and with his athletic breeding he can have a spook and quietly hold his breath at times, there is no malice or outright sharpness, but he is a still a relatively young competition bred horse and we are looking to match a rider to his ability and continue the lovely up bringing he has had so far.
