Description: BOYSIE Talented 16.3hh 2017 Irish (green book recorded breeding) grey gelding. He arrived in the UK in May 2023 having had a couple of successful BE events in Ireland, scoring 32 and 36.3 with two double clears, finishing 3/13 and 5/19. He was produced in a showing yard where he went on to win Reserve Ridden Hunter Championship at the Hope Show. His current owner has had him since 2023 for her daughter’s first horse after ponies. They have hunted him with the Essex and Suffolk Hunt and the Hamilton Bloodhounds over the winter, and taken him to local shows where he always jumped clear at 90/100cm. In 2024 he placed 2nd Ridden Hunter in the Rising Star class, 3rd Ridden Hunter, 1st Working Hunter, then went on to be Reserve Champion. He also did arena eventing, finishing 6th in the 1m. He has done various local hunter trials, winning the 90 at Poplar Park at the Hamilton Bloodhounds eventer trial and placing 3rd in pairs. He then went to Hartpury College where they competed him locally, doing well showjumping at both 1m and 1.10m and jumping him on a ticket at BS. Boysie has continued to hunt and most recently finished 7th in pairs with a very small friend at Poplar again. He is a horse with a wealth of experience who has been and done it all. A brilliant teenager’s horse or ideal for someone wanting to go out and win. He has beautiful paces, endless scope and knows his job – a gorgeous horse with no hang ups and ready to go out and have fun. A lovely hunter, showjumper, eventer or dressage horse, he ticks every box and is a super all-rounder. Boysie is a lovely chap to hack out, will go alone or in company, on the buckle, and is brilliant in heavy traffic, farm traffic and open spaces. He is a nice chap on the ground and to do.
