- A beautiful registered Welsh Section B mare looking for a new home where she can reach her full potential.
At 4 years old, she is currently unbroken, having been kept as a companion to my daughter’s 14.2hh mare. We had planned to break her this summer, but with my daughter starting a new job we simply won’t have the time she deserves. She would make a fantastic summer project for someone looking to produce a quality little pony.
She is easy to handle, good to lead in and out of the field, and is happy living either in a stable or out at grass. Her teeth, vaccinations, worming and feet are all up to date. She is ready for someone to give her a job and bring out her full potential. My daughter has sat my niece on her back which she didn’t mind at all. Just needs some small tack and breaking in now. All of ours is far too big. She has been lunged from her head collar too without issue. She leads up the lane and around our farm.
We bought her as a yearling alongside her 13.3hh dam, as the owner wanted to sell them together and we couldn’t bear to separate them. We had hoped she would make a little more height, but she has matured at around 11.2–11.3hh. We’ve given her an extra year in the hope that she would grow a little more, but she has stayed a lovely, dainty pony and is simply too small for us.
Her dam was a wonderful pony, ridden by my daughter in Pony Club and Riding Club activities, and was a fantastic jumper. She is now much loved by another family in our riding club. We have every reason to believe this little mare has inherited the same kind temperament and ability.
She is simply wasted with us as we don’t have a rider small enough for her. She deserves a home where someone can enjoy producing her and developing her into a fabulous lead rein, first ridden or second pony, or a wonderful Pony Club all-rounder.
She is a genuine, much-loved mare looking for the very best home. She is far too nice to be a field ornament. A knowledgeable home is important, and we’d love to see her fulfil the potential we know she has.
