- Very sad sale of our lovely Ruby, who has done an amazing job of giving our daughter her confidence back. We bought Ruby after our daughter lost her confidence following a fall from a previous horse. She has taken her from not wanting to ride to happily riding, jumping and enjoying her pony again. ❤️ Ruby has previously been in a competition home and has plenty of experience, although she has had a more low-level life with us. Our daughter has mainly enjoyed schooling and jumping her at home, alongside attending some local shows. She is good in the school and steady to jump. Our daughter has jumped her up to around 60cm and she isn’t the type to rush into her fences. She has never bucked, bolted or reared with us. Ruby will hack alone or in company. She can sometimes be a little nervous when hacking alone but will keep moving with reassurance. She is generally good with traffic. She’s not the biggest fan of tractors but can be reassured past them. On the ground she is good to load, bathe and groom and is good for the farrier. She is happy living in or out – she currently does a mixture of both but has previously lived out all year round. She is a good doer and a lovely, affectionate pony who will happily follow you around the field looking for attention. Ruby is generally fine to catch, although she can occasionally be strong and pull towards the grass. If our daughter is bringing her in, she uses a bridle rather than a headcollar, which works well for them. Ruby has no known health issues and is up to date with everything. This is a genuinely sad sale. Ruby has been exactly the pony our daughter needed and has played a huge part in getting her confidence back. We are only looking for a new home because we now want something a little bigger that both my daughter and I can ride. 🏡 The right home is really important to us. Tack can be available separately by negotiation.
