Description: Elly is a 15.3hh, 9-year-old TB mare and a firm favourite to ride, whether that be hacking, fun rides, XC schooling or showjumping. She genuinely looks after both younger and older riders and recently went XC schooling with a 14-year-old, showing herself to be bold, brave and very confidence-giving over both XC and SJ fences. On the flat, Elly is still in training, so she is green in this area. That said, she is showing masses of improvement and a really smart shape after every session, with a great attitude to her work. Elly is excellent to hack, both alone and in company, and is quiet and sensible in heavy traffic. She has cantered out in groups in open fields, always in a snaffle, and is never sharp or fizzy. Just a super sensible girl. On the ground, Elly is a real sweetie. She loves a fuss and is always the first to come up to you in the field. She is super easy to catch and is happy either stabled or turned out — currently turned out with another mare. She is a pleasure to ride and spend time with. A sweet, chirpy, sensible-brained mare who absolutely loves life and her work, with a great attitude to whatever she is doing. With more work on the flat, Elly would make a great candidate for ROR showing, and she would also be a lovely project to low-level event in the future for a competitive rider. Alternatively, she is ready to rock and roll for happy hacking, mother-daughter shares or fun rides — she really is the full ticket for someone to enjoy. She would not suit a complete novice, as she would risk being wasted. Elly is a forward, genuine ride who would be absolutely fab for a competitive rider, but she will also happily step down to a quieter life. Ready to view. No vices and open to vettings.
