Description: Woody Striking 17.2hh pure Irish Draught gelding, rising 5. Woody is great to hack — he will go in front or behind, alone or in company. He’s good around traffic, bikes, dogs, farm animals, and children. A safe, sane, and sensible weight carrier, Woody has even been hacked bareback by his 5ft owner. He’s been ridden with and stabled around stallions, geldings, mares, and foals. He’s been hunting once, happily trotting along at the back without getting hot-headed and seemed to thoroughly enjoy himself. With this in mind, Woody would make a lovely hunter for someone looking for a safe and steady mount. He’s also been cross-country schooling and popped ditches, steps, water, and small fences with ease. Due to his size, Woody has been allowed to mature slowly, both physically and in his ridden work. Although green in areas, Woody is very honest and has never said no to anything asked of him. Great to shoe, box, and clip. He’s up to date on all vaccinations, has recently had his teeth done, and has his saddle checked regularly. Woody is lovely to handle, loves people, and enjoys all kinds of affection when both standing and lying down. He’s very much a kick-along type with good conformation and an excellent temperament.
