Description: Very honest advert ‘William the Conqueror’ Aka Will is a very low milage, green, just turned 7 17.1 ISH gelding who’s been in the same home since he turned 4. Fantastic breeding. He is a real head turner and has heaps of potential. Over the time of me having him I have worked lots on his loading (into a trailer) which he is now brilliant at. Good to travel, bath, farrier, and dentist, needs sedation to clip. Has to have all year round turnout, can be out 24/7 or stabled overnight, he thrives off routine. Has jumped round 1m courses at home as a 5yo with me when he was in consistant work and has his flying changes. He is a very talented and sharp horse who just isn’t being ridden enough which I don’t believe is fair on him as he loves to work. I truly know in a home where he is being ridden most days he will thrive and really come into his own. He would take the right person very far showjumping and never says no to a fence, will jump off any stride and is one of the bravest horses in the arena you could sit on. Once settled in he will lay down in the stable with you, and give you endless cuddles. He is not a happy hacker. He is fine to hack with another horse providing the other horse will go infront every now and then, and is great with traffic however is nappy on his own and will throw shapes if he does not get his way. I haven’t persevered with hacking on his own as I want to keep him as safe as possible. He schools lovely when you are consistent and only wants to please, he would benefit from a very experienced home wanting to get him back up and running and take him out to experience the world. He has been in very light work over the past year. Hasn’t been jumped round a course in over a year, just light schooling and hacking. Does throw an excited buck nothing nasty. This is very difficult as he is much loved by many I just want to do the right thing for him. NO Novices Has VERY MILD kissing spine which reflects the price point. When injected yearly this is does not pose as an issue to him and the vet has reassured us this will not cause an issue with his ridden career, happy to talk more about this.
