Description
Absolutely stunning registered Welsh Section B palomino gelding, rising 7 years old, full up 138, 14hh We have owned Moon since he was a yearling, having purchased him directly from the breeder, so his full history is known. He truly is worth his weight in gold and is a pleasure to own and handle. Moon is excellent to catch, clip, load, travel, farrier and dentist. He is up to date with vaccinations, teeth, worming, physio and farrier (barefoot). He was backed and produced by us and has been handled daily by our daughters. They can do absolutely anything with him, including riding him bareback from the field in a headcollar. He stands quietly for rug changes and has impeccable ground manners. We have mainly used Moon for showjumping, where he has proved to be talented, genuine and always in the placings. He would make an amazing BS pony. He has also happily jumped logs, ditches and enjoys going through water. He is currently jumping 70cm-75cm courses with scope to go higher and has jumped the occasional metre fence. Moon has exceptional breeding, being by Waxwing Pennywhistle, who has produced numerous successful performance and JA ponies. On the flat, Moon works nicely with lovely transitions, is responsive to the leg and has established flying changes. We believe he has all the attributes to make an excellent dressage pony, although this is not a discipline we have focused on. He hacks confidently on open commons and across open fields, both alone and in company. He does not buck, bolt or rear. Our very novice 10-year-old daughter regularly rides him over the common on her own and in company, and he always takes great care of her. Moon has everything you could wish for in a competition pony, while also being a fun, safe and versatile all rounder. He has a kind nature, a wonderful temperament and is loved by everyone who meets him. A truly special pony who will only be available to the very best home. Serious enquiries only. Photos and videos available on request.
