Description: Irish Sports Horse - Grey - Gelding - 5 years - 16hh / 163cm Tyson is a super 16hh 5-year-old Irish Sport Horse gelding who combines quality and ability with the sort of temperament and rideability that is incredibly hard to find. What really makes Tyson special is his brain and attitude. He is a lovely forward-going ride, responsive to the leg and genuinely enjoyable, yet remains level-headed, sensible and safe. He wants to get on with the job without ever making life difficult and always gives his rider a lovely positive feeling. He is also extremely forgiving. He doesn't expect his rider to get everything right and will happily help you out when needed. He has enough quality and ability for an ambitious rider to have plenty of fun with, while remaining straightforward enough for someone who simply wants a nice, genuine horse to enjoy. Tyson is always ridden in a snaffle, is light and straightforward in the hand and is nicely responsive without being sharp or silly. Tyson is one of those really useful horses who could genuinely turn his hoof to almost anything. He has already been out showjumping and cross-country, both training and at shows, confidently jumping around 80/90cm. He has taken everything in his stride and continues to show just how genuine, brave and straightforward he is. He is naturally athletic with a scopey, careful jump, but what makes him particularly appealing is how easy and rideable he remains. He is nicely forward and takes you to a fence without becoming strong, silly or overexcited. Cross-country he is brave and willing, happily tackling a variety of fences and always looking to get to the other side. He gives his rider a lovely feeling and is very forgiving if they don't see the perfect stride. At shows, Tyson has proved himself to be sensible, level-headed and uncomplicated, taking the atmosphere completely in his stride. For only a five-year-old, he already has an excellent amount of useful experience without having been overproduced or having too many miles put on the clock. Tyson hunted last season and proved himself to be remarkably sensible and level-headed, particularly for such a young horse. He took the atmosphere and excitement in his stride, kept his head and behaved beautifully. That experience has given him a fantastic education and says a lot about his temperament. He is forward enough to be great fun, but importantly remains rideable and sensible – exactly what you want in a young hunter. A Superb Hack Tyson is a super hack and is happy to go alone or in company. He is good in traffic, sensible out and about and doesn't need another horse there to hold his hand. Whether you're heading out for a relaxing hack or going somewhere more exciting, he has that same willing and uncomplicated attitude. An Absolute Gentleman on the Ground Tyson is every bit as lovely on the ground as he is to ride. He is vice-free and exceptionally easy to do in all ways, with lovely manners and a gentle, friendly nature. He genuinely likes attention and loves having a brush and being fussed over. He's the sort of horse you actually enjoy spending time with, not just riding. He's straightforward with the everyday jobs and is a pleasure to have around the yard. He has plenty of ability to progress and become a competitive horse, but equally he has the temperament to become somebody's ultimate allrounder, hunter and best friend.
