Description: ▪️Please read full ad!▪️ If you’re looking for a partner that will whizz around cross country tracks, go swimming in the lake, gallop bit-less through the forest, or do a jump off in record time, Billy Piper is your guy! Billy is an absolute gentleman to do in every way! He loads like a dream, will climb into any box/lorry/ trailer you ask him to. Stands for the farrier, loose, tied up or held. Stands beautifully for the dentist to check his pearly whites and also behaves like an absolute saint when getting his sheath cleaned. Billy has been my own personal horse for 5 years, with that comes the task of him having to be ready to do absolutely anything at any given moment. Whether that’s being a lead rein pony with large summer camp groups or leading out the advanced groups on the gallop track! We have also hunted in the past, and he took care of me every step of the way, including jumping large hedges and 5 bar gates. Also leading some of the more nervous horses/ riders all the way. Billy would best be suited in a home with someone who is confident and eager to get out there and have fun! Someone who doesn’t mind him getting excited when he wants to go with a hippity- hop or a buck. (on the rare occasion this does happen, it’s pure excitement as he loves to perform and show off!). He can be a bit fresh to bring in after some time off, but does settle. Billy is a pacer, but don’t let that put you off, I have spent many years teaching him how to trot, and when he is consistent work, he rarely paces. The only time you would encounter a pace is when he’s been off work, he’s very excited or if he’s allowed to, he automatically corrects himself. Billys canter is brave, big and bold and you cover a lot of ground quickly, this comes in handy during jump offs, we have turned 4 strides into 1 on multiple occasions before! Being a big boy with such a bold canter, Billy prefers working outside to inside, but ultimately will do what he’s asked to do! He has been out of work for a while, so will need someone that can give him the space and patience to get fit and back into the swing of things. He’s an absolute machine in cross country! Would suit two-phase, cross country, showjumping or endurance. Absolutely no novices/ beginners. Even though Billy doesn’t have a bad bone in his body, he’s a big guy and can get strong. RFS: I have decided to make this absolutely heartbreaking decision to sell Billy as work commitments here and abroad means he is left out of work for long periods of time, and it’s just not fair.
