Description: Completely honest advert please read fully before contacting Looking for a home that can handle a young nervous horses not a first time young horse. Lockdown luck aka Smurf. 15.1 5year old gelding Connemara x unknown breeding. Smurf is a beautiful young horse with 3 lovely paces and a sweet little pop He would excel in any discipline with a ONE TO ONE home. Smurf if good for the farrier dentist clip load worm etc With his current rider Smurf has never put a foot wrong he has been out to plenty of arena hires seeing fillers,cross country fences water ditches etc and has been completely unphased. He has been to his first showjumping competition where he jumped a beautiful round to come 3rd. His current rider can walk trot canter and jump a course of fence in an arena or out hacking with no problems. Smurf lunges and long lines beautifully and is well mannered on the ground. Smurf has been up for sale and has had multiple views where he has been panicked by new less experienced riders and his go to is to run away. He has not done anything wrong like buck or rear he tucks him bum under and runs away he has always pulled up but is left very shaken afterwards. Smurf requires someone who can really take their time with him and grow a bond and trust before they begin to crack on with the ridden work. He needs to know he can trust you and that you’re not trying to hurt him. Once he trusts you the riding will follow very quickly and he would do anything for his rider. If you think you could be the person for Smurf then we are happy for you to see him ridden in a viewing however we do not want to scare him further with putting more new people on him. Smurf has been ridden by another rider with no issues doing walk trot canter jumping and hacking. This rider was of similar ability if not more experience than his current rider and can be seen being ridden by this rider as well if wished His buyer would have to be willing to treat him as unbroken. He is upto date with vacations dentist and farrier and has a clean vet history.
