Description: ROMEO Striking 2021 registered Irish Draught (green book) grey gelding standing at 15.3hh, offering a lovely ride and very much an old head on young shoulders. Romeo is a gentleman to handle and have around the yard – he’s easy to do and very much a laid back, chilled-out lad. Romeo has three comfortable and balanced paces on the flat, snaffle-mouthed, and he does a lovely test. He will ride completely off your voice and is not sensitive, sharp, or spooky in any way. Jumping-wise, he will pop round cross-country fences just as nicely as he does over showjumps. He lightly hunted last season and has seen plenty jumping-wise. He’s done arena hires, cross-country schooled several times, and has a few training shows under his belt. He’s the same away from home as he is at home and remains an easy, level-headed, and uncomplicated ride. Romeo will take you to a fence, help you out if you get it wrong, and will give you confidence – he’s unbothered if his rider becomes unbalanced or nervous. He’s a lovely horse to hack out, sane and sensible in an open space or a group, and super in the heaviest of traffic. A pleasure to have around and a happy horse – he will be a magnificent Draught when he’s even more matured, and he’s certainly already a head-turning type.
