Description: Sad sale of much-loved family horse Elvis Elvis is a striking 16.3hh 9yo TB gelding by Fame and Glory, bought from a top racing yard. Lack of jockey forces sale. Same home last 3 years. Raced in P2Ps by the brother, evented by the sister – he's been in an experienced family home and done a bit of everything! Very willing attitude to life and aquick learner, loves his work. Would happily spend hours hacking or being brushed. A really personable horse who really loves being ridden! He is often ridden leading 2 other horses off him, dogs following in behind - not much bothers him. Happily ridden by 3 generations and easy to handle on the ground. Snaffle mouthed. Elvis has done a bit of everything, eventing, clinics, PC rallies, hunter trials, arena eventing, SJ, and has hunted. He has a lot of scope and would easily be capable of jumping around much bigger tracks, but due to a lack of time we haven’t been able move him up without rushing. He has schooled over all natural obstacles including ditches, steps & water and skinnies/brushes are no issue. - Completed ODEs (80cm), Hunter Trials (90cm) - Schooled XC to 1m, hunted, clinics, Pony Club - Moves beautifully – loads of presence, flashy, traditional stamp - Still eligible to race if desired – or ROR eligible - Good to clip, shoe, catch, load etc. – easy to have around - Hacks alone & in company, not fussed by heavy traffic or even farm machinery Would suit a confident rider to have fun with, as he came off the track, he would not be suitable for a novice rider. He has not lived alone before and enjoys the company of other horses when stabled or in the field. Price is ONO and offers considered - finding the right home is important.
