Description
✅ Super riding club / Pony Club type ✅ Three super paces for dressage, and jumps both showjumping and cross-country ✅ Hacks alone and in company; a lovely, fun mare Ashley (Ash) is an absolutely gorgeous 15.1hh dapple grey, five-year-old Connemara x Warmblood mare. For sale on behalf of her owner. Ash is one in a million, with so much class, quality and potential, and the most amazing temperament to match. She is a very striking dapple grey and catches the eye wherever she goes. She is an ideal size for teenagers coming off ponies as well as smaller adults, so she could make a brilliant mother-daughter share too. She is a very desirable type who could do lots of jobs. She has excellent conformation, is blemish-free and has good feet (Nn for hoof wall). She flew through a five-stage vetting in July, which can come with her, and she is open to another vetting if wanted. She is the perfect all-rounder who excels across all disciplines, with a real “can-do” attitude. She is lovely now but has so much more to come, with a very exciting future ahead of her. Ash works really nicely on the flat and has three super paces. She moves beautifully, flicks her toe and has plenty of scope to her paces. She works correctly between leg and hand into a soft outline and is snaffle-mouthed for everything. She is a good medium speed, nicely forward-going with good transitions, but not sharp at all. She is a lovely, straightforward ride who gives her rider a great feel. She is schooling beautifully now but still has more to come as she strengthens and matures. Ash has such a lovely attitude towards her work and is a quick learner who always has a smile on her face and wants to please. She has so much potential to excel in dressage. She has been to arena hires and clinics and is now ready to go to a competition and work her way through the levels. Ash loves her jumping and makes a lovely shape over a fence. She takes you nicely into a fence and is very honest and genuine to jump. She doesn’t get strong or fizzy; she is just super easy and straightforward. She is very bold and jumps all fillers confidently on the first attempt. She has been to several jumping arena hires and training clear rounds, where she has shown lots of potential for riding club competitions. She is currently jumping around 80cm courses, with the potential to jump higher, but hasn’t been rushed. She has also been attending polework clinics, which she loves. She is very good to ride at new places and has a great attitude towards her jumping. She competed in a few small jumping competitions in Ireland with her previous owner and is now ready to crack on and start competing over here. She is equally bold over cross-country fences. She was very rideable and jumped everything asked of her in a sensible manner. She has completed some arena eventing clear rounds, where she was great fun. I can see her really excelling as a Pony Club or riding club all-rounder. She could also event, as she is good across all three disciplines, making her a lovely Cotswold Cup contender. Ash hacks alone and in company. She is good in traffic and sensible in open spaces. She is confident leading and equally happy behind. She also completed some fun rides in her previous home in Ireland. Ash has a superb, kind and friendly temperament. She loves people and will make someone an amazing best friend, as she is highly interactive and forms a really strong bond. She loves being groomed, pampered and given attention. She is good to handle in every way. She lives in or out and is happy turned out next to or with other horses. She is very quiet in the field and gets along well with horses and ponies. She is good to shoe, bathe, catch and lead. She loads perfectly single-handedly and travels like a dream. She really is such a genuine, honest horse who deserves the best home. Ash would be very suitable for a competent teenager coming off ponies or an adult. She could make a fabulous riding club or Pony Club all-rounder, as well as a lovely dressage or eventing prospect. She is sadly for sale because her teenage owner has lost interest and is prioritising her other hobbies. Her owner thinks a great deal of Ash and would very much like to keep in touch. It has been a really difficult decision. Based in Ramsey, Peterborough.
