Description: 13hh Registered Welsh Section B Chocolate Dun Gelding rising 6 yo. Was lightly backed at the end of last year and is coming along nicely. Has been out to arena hires, arena eventing competition where he was placed, working hunter course hire, pony club clinics, has just been to his first stay away jumping show and came away with 2 x firsts and a second. He’s also done XC training which he really enjoyed and to the beach too. He’s ridden by my 7 year old daughter and is currently being ridden by older children to give him experience. His schooling does need polishing up but he’s coming on leaps and bounds and is a nicely balanced pony with lovely floaty paces. He is very easily county standard in the making. I believe with his ample bone and limb that he will make a super working hunter pony, would excel in the show ring or dressage and think he would be super at eventing. He is an absolute dream to take places, was perfectly behaved at the stay away. Is a very kind and mannerly pony to have on the yard and handled by my daughter with no concerns. My daughter rides him bareback in/out to the field, he loads and travels well, he can be stabled or out at night, he doesn’t change at all. If he’s not ridden for a few days it makes no difference. He’s good to catch & have his feet trimmed. He’s not a fan of the clippers but with patience and someone holding him giving him a fuss he let us get the job done. I would probably sedate until he gets used to it! He enjoys hacking, is good in traffic and will happily take the lead or go behind, I’ve also led a pony from him out and he was fine. He’s up to date with vaccs, worming, I’ve had his teeth checked and all fine and he’s had chiro too - again all fine. I feel he’s now ready to be pushed into any direction, he is not a ready made first ridden pony so please no novices due to his age. He does take confidence from his rider so although he’s safe he needs someone who is confident. He is truly a fabulous pony with a very bright future ahead of him. I’m in no rush to sell but am struggling to find the time to keep 3 ponies in full time work & competing!
