Description: ISLA Isla is a super sweet 2019 Irish mare standing at 14.2hh, a substantial sort who takes up the leg well and can comfortably carry weight. She has a willing, straightforward attitude and is an easy, enjoyable ride with naturally comfortable paces. Her temperament is a real highlight — friendly, inquisitive and kind, and she is simple to handle in all the usual ways. Out hacking, Isla is a star. She will go out alone or in company, lead or follow, and is excellent in heavy traffic, tractors, farm machinery, fast-moving vehicles and open spaces. She is a chilled, relaxed type who will happily walk on the buckle and look after her rider. In the arena she offers three lovely, correct paces and would produce a nice, accurate test with a bit more schooling. She has taken part in riding club activities and has done some showing. Over fences she is confident and willing, jumping both rustic and coloured fences from trot or canter with a naturally tidy technique. She enjoys the job and gives a secure, positive feel. Isla is the sort of mare who would suit a family, a mother–daughter share, or anyone looking for a kind young horse with a great attitude who can turn her hoof to a bit of everything.
