He has three lovely paces – comfortable and steady, he will ride off your voice or your aids. Trustworthy and easy in every way, Alfie is a safe, happy, laid-back chap. He’s enjoyed fun rides, forest and river hacks, most riding club activities, and even has a few showing classes under his belt. A genuine all-rounder, he will happily turn his hoof to any job. Alfie shows plenty of promise over fences. He is unbothered by coloured fillers or rustic fences, with a neat pop in him and always willing to help his pilot out. He will jump from trot or canter, off any stride, and doesn’t mind if his rider is wobbly or nervous. In traffic, Alfie is fantastic. He hacks alone or in company, is excellent with farm machinery, and nothing seems to bother him. He is equally sane and sensible in open spaces. A nice horse for someone to go out and enjoy tomorrow.
