Description: Safe, fun, reliable all rounder. Freddie has been on livery with us for the last few years, originally as a mother daughter share for teenager and novice nervous mum, Freddie enjoyed lots of hacking, cantering along the gallops and the occasional jump with the daughter followed by lunge lessons to pole work with the mother. Freddie looked after both, staying steady when needed, and having more in the tank when asked. In the last year Freddie has been on loan to a 12 year old girl who thoroughly enjoyed her first year of pony club rallies, competitions as well as lots of lessons and hacking at home. During his time with us he has helped several other novice riders grow in confidence thanks to his calm steady attitude when ridden from family friends to weekend staff who fell so in love with him they took him on as a share. Freddie can be grumpy and aggressive in the stable, particularly around his food, and for this reason, although he is a totally novice ride, he does require an experienced person to handle him on the ground. Freddie also requires a dust-free lifestyle due to two asthma flare ups in the last year, but this is managed with soaked hay and dust extracted bedding. Previously Freddie has been a fabulous allrounder however going forward we believe he will best suit a happy hacking / low level dressage home. He has three balanced paces, works forward and correct when asked or will plod along at the pace of the rider. He isn’t a heavy lazy ride but is extremely steady and safe. No matter who has been put on board, I know he will always bring them back safe with a smile on their face. Over the past few months, Freddie has become increasingly difficult to tack up and manage in his stable, due to owners personal circumstances we aren’t able to fully investigate or work through these issues, and therefore Freddie is available at a significantly reduced price. He is up to date with teeth, physio etc however may be due a re-medication of his back which was last carried out around 9 months ago. Full veterinary history will be disclosed.
