- Jack our little ‘super cob’ is looking for a new 10* home. He has been with us for 3 years, and within that time has helped my daughter to develop her confidence. My daughter is now nearly 14, growing like a weed (!) and is ready for a new challenge.
Jack is 13.2hh black cob, he turns 9 years old in January 2024. He is a genuine 1st pony. While being with us, he has hacked alone and in company, is fantastic in all sorts of heavy traffic and has recently won family pony at Dormansland Show. He is happy to stand being pampered for hours with dogs /children running around him, have a football kicked under his legs while having an umbrella over his head!!! He really is an extraordinary pony with a big heart.
Jack has taken part in pony club rallies, x country, show jumping, sponsored rides and beach rides. Jack has never hunted but I honestly believe he would love it. Jack is super safe in open spaces.
Jack is very capable of jumping a 90cm jump, but I feel he is most comfortable at 60cm - 70cm.
Jack seems to know who is on his back, always looking after his jockey. He would rather not be on the lead rein, he says.. ‘I’m more than capable of looking after my jockey myself!’
Jack travels beautifully. He currently lives out with a mixed herd but has been stabled too. He is a pony that quite literally lives off air! So very cheap to keep!
Jack has fantastic solid feet and does not need shoes. He has been trimmed regularly. He is up to date with his vaccinations and dentist. I have clipped Jack 3 times each year since we have had him, but he finds it tickles! For this reason I use some sedation gel from the vets.
Jack has a tendency to curl his top lip, the nose net stops this. We believe it is pollen related.
Jack will only be sold to the best home. He has been a massive part of our family and will leave a big gaping hole. Please, just genuine enquiries only. PM me only. His price includes his saddle and bridle.
