- Meet Highland Owen!
A very sweet pony who is currently wasted because my daughter isn't confident enough at the moment to keep him in regular work. He is very safe but he does get a but nervous and jumpy with nervous riders hence the issue!
She competed him successfully at 65cms but he can definitely do more. We'd love for him to go to a kind home where he would be shown a bit more of the world and be taken to the next level. He suits a confident teenager/adult/second pony type. He's not strong or silly. Never bucks or rears or kicks/bites but he is the alpha male in the field so you should keep that in mind too. Currently out 24/7 with our mare but came from a more traditional livery yard where he was also stabled and sometimes out in a mixed herd.
He's a good doer so currently a bit overweight!
He could survive on thin air and one plus is he even eats all the thistles!
Barefoot at the moment but been shod before. Up to date on vaccines and physio.
He's an easy horse with the right pair of hands, he will be an excellent showjumping prospect.
We'd rather he was local but if the right home came along further afield we would consider you. We don't want any payment but would expect you to pay for all his care. Great opportunity for the cuddliest, gentle, kind pony it's just a pity he isn't the right fit for my daughter right now.
