Mabel moves beautifully on the flat and is both bold and brave at cross country. She has previously schooled around Novice BE tracks with ease and has helped build my son's confidence at XC winning their first showcross together as well as taking him round his first eventer trials.
Mabel is immensely talented, forward thinking, athletic and has a huge jump. She would excel in an experienced BE/ PC home for those looking for a pony with the talent for PC100+. She's been to a couple of local dressage shows, has taken part in combined training events, annual beach rides and loves pleasure rides. We don't hack from our yard as we are based on what can be a busy country road but she enjoys trips to local woods and farms to hack with friends.
She's travels well alone/ in company. We have a trailer so that's been her main transport, but she's also been in different sized lorries and stands well at shows. I've lost confidence around horses in recent years but I can tack her up etc at shows and lead her round. She's also the farrier favourite and he always saves her until last on our yard as she's so easy to do.
Despite all her positives, Mabel does come with her own little quirks. While she has the kindest, most loving heart she is not suitable for a novice rider or family. Mabel needs a confident established rider to get the best out of her. Routine and understanding is key, she will not tolerate machine mentality and performs best in regular work. Mabel needs a kind, sympathetic rider who has soft hands and an established seat as she's sensitive in the mouth. Mabel can be a little extra with her enthusiasm which comes in leaps and squeals. She can also be expressive when she is feeling fresh/ unsure but when in a routine this levels out.
It is essential that Mabel
finds a kind and loving home that will love her exactly as she is. She is a very special mare with so much to give but needs experience and understanding in a 5* home to get the best out of her. If you have any questions please let me know, we have lots of videos available 😊
