- Description
- Rosie is a beautiful 14.1hh, 7-year-old Welsh x Arab mare with three expressive paces, a kind temperament and a genuine love of her work.
She has been carefully and sympathetically produced and is now beginning her competition career under one of the Southโs leading dressage coaches, who originally spotted her natural ability and believed she had the talent to excel in dressage. Dressage is where Rosie truly shines. She is established on the flat, offers flying changes and is proving to be a willing, trainable mare with plenty of potential for the future.
Rosie hacks happily alone or in company, is unfazed by traffic and isnโt spooky, nappy or silly. She is handled and ridden daily by a 13-year-old girl, who does absolutely everything with her, and she has a lovely, genuine nature.
Rosie enjoys a varied life and loves getting out and about. Dressage is where she truly excels, and she also thoroughly enjoys hacking, hunting and cross-country. She is bold, genuine and confidence-giving over natural obstacles, happily jumping logs, ditches, steps, water and brushes.
Rosie has plenty of scope over a fence, but in the interests of complete honesty, show jumping and pole work are simply not her thing. She will jump them, but she doesnโt enjoy it and is much happier over natural obstacles than coloured poles in an arena. For this reason, Rosie would not be suited to a dedicated show-jumping home. She would thrive with someone looking for a talented dressage horse who also enjoys hacking, hunting and cross-country.
She is good to shoe, clip, load and travel and is up to date with vaccinations, teeth and farrier.
Rosie has a seasonal pollen allergy which requires management during the pollen season. For clarity all these photos and videos were taken during this pollen season.
Rosie is a much-loved pony, so finding the right home is far more important than a quick sale. We are looking for a knowledgeable home that will appreciate her many strengths and allow her to continue enjoying the work she loves.
