Description
Stunning Welsh D Licensed Stallion I’ve owned Milo since I bought him from the stud as a yearling and his breeding is full of HOYS and Royal Welsh winning parentage and siblings. Unfortunately I am very overstocked with my own, clients ponies coming first which means my own end up on the back burner and as I’m most interested in the working hunter classes, Milo is available to a new home. He has an abundance of limb, excellent conformation and stunning movement which will see him do very well in the show ring as well as in dressage. His temperament is incredible - he is very well socialised and doesn’t have any bad stallion traits whatsoever. He’s a massive softie, kind, gentle, mannerly, loves a cuddle and wouldn’t ever dream of being naughty or rude. For that reason he’s an ideal asset to a small or family stud who’s looking to add some good temperament, limb and movement whilst wanting to compete and ride alongside stud duties. I know how rare it can be to find stallions who can do both at the same time! Equally he would make the loveliest of geldings to be a child’s pony or junior ridden and as he’s not stallion-y at all anyway, you’d not experience any residual stallion behaviours like you often would from one which has been gelded late. He had a very quiet 2025 as I spectacularly broke my leg at the end of March and when I was back riding, I concentrated my energy on the ponies competing in HOYS qualifiers…I briefly brought him back into work during the quiet period between the last of the qualifiers and HOYS and then unfortunately ran out of time again for my own ponies. He absolutely loves work and attention and I’d love to see him have more opportunities than he’s currently getting with me. He has the most wonderful attitude, snaffle mouthed and is nicely responsive in all ways. I broke him in myself and took my time giving him a good well-rounded education with his ridden career in mind. He pops fences very nicely and is bold and brave with steps, water, fillers and has even done bounce exercises etc, but I wouldn’t describe him as an “out and out jumper”…if he was, he wouldn’t be going anywhere as he would be one which would be very hard to beat in the exc143cm HOYS class. Please bear in mind if you do come to try him that he’s not yet the finished article and is currently unfit due to being on holiday…that being said, I know I can get him in from the field and get straight on him with no worries. Excellent to clip, bath, hack, load, hack, catch, lead etc etc etc. Very negotiable to the most lovely of homes for a quick sale and even more so to somebody who would be interested in buying him to leave him with me to stand at stud / produce. I absolutely love this lad, he’s so lovely to sit on and ride and I will be picky where he goes ❤️
