Very reluctant sale of a true child's pony. Rossi is a sweetheart, he’s a 17 year old, 12 hh Dartmoor pony. Rossi has been around the block and knows his job well. Rossi excels in showing but is equally a wonderful allrounder. Showing with his previous owner Rossi has had many wins and championships as a LR, FR, junior M&M and open small breeds. Professionally produced Rossi has previously qualified and placed at RIHS and HOYs.
Rossi is an excellent, reliable and safe child’s pony. Sits great on the lead with the tiniest of jockeys. Has taken previous jockey off the lead rein and in to open small breeds classes. He needs very little working in, no calmers or ear plugs. Qualified for stars and just out of placing in FR M&M in 2024. Rossi can calmly and quietly walk along with the most nervous/just off the lead jockey but then with a bigger/more confident jockey he is a real showman with beautiful movement.
Rossi is great with the dentist, farrier etc.
Rossi has also been shown by small adults previously.
Rossi frequently hacks, both on and off the lead reign with our daughter, he will go first or last, never gets hot or jogs. Hacks on roads with traffic/tractors/farm machinery and other ponies and dogs without concern and enjoys it. Rossi rides/country park hacks. Will lead from other horses.
Rossi jumps up to 80 cm and loves it. He makes a beautiful shape over a jump and has a lovely rhythm and with a competent and confident jockey really would be an incredible workers pony.
No previous laminitis or illnesses known. Rossi has some sweet itch which is controlled with the right rugs,
sometimes creams and general care (his sweet itch rugs are available with him).
Rossi is wonderful to handle. He loves to be pampered and will stand all day. He is great when being clipped and doesn’t fuss. Great in the stable and has had many of my daughters 8 year old friends around him fussing him.
Up to date with vaccinations.
Loads and travels very well in a box or trailer alone or with company. Must go to a 5star home or he will stay where he is, no time wasters please.
